Flying Stars 2026: the annual chart

On February 4, 2026 (Li Chun), the annual stars move. 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse (Bing Wu), with 1 White taking the center. Below is the palace-by-palace chart and — more importantly — the sectors to treat with care this year.

The 2026 chart

The headline for 2026: respect the South, and the North

This is an unusual year. The Five Yellow (Wu Wang) — the most disruptive annual star — sits in the South, and the Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter, in the year of the Horse) occupies the South as well. Two major afflictions share one sector. Directly opposite, the North carries both the Sui Po (Year Breaker) and the Three Killings.

The practical rule is restraint: do not renovate, drill, dig, or break ground in the South or North sectors of your home or office in 2026. If renovation is unavoidable, timing and method matter — that is precisely the kind of question worth a short conversation before contractors are booked.

Palace-by-palace guidance

SE — 9 Purple. Future prosperity; supports celebration and growth. Keep lively and well lit.

S — 5 Yellow. Wu Wang, the year’s most serious affliction — and Tai Sui (Grand Duke) also resides in the South in 2026. Keep quiet: no renovation, no ground-breaking, no drilling in this sector this year.

SW — 7 Red. Associated with loss and security lapses. Be sensible with valuables; keep this sector tidy and calm.

E — 8 White. The current wealth star. An excellent year to use an East-sector room actively — office, front door usage, daily activity.

W — 3 Jade. Quarrels and friction. Avoid heated discussions and contract disputes in West-sector rooms; keep the sector still.

NE — 4 Green. Study, writing, and romance. A strong year for NE studies, libraries, and creative work.

N — 6 White. Authority and helpful people — but in 2026 the North also carries Sui Po (Year Breaker) and the Three Killings. Favorable star, sensitive sector: no major works here either.

NW — 2 Black. The illness star. Rest, don’t renovate. If a bedroom or the main door sits NW, pay attention to health basics this year.

Center — 1 White. Career and opportunity star in the heart of the chart — a year favoring new beginnings, networking, and reputation built on substance.

The honest caveat

The annual chart is general by definition: it describes the year, not your home. Whether the South affliction matters enormously or hardly at all depends on your property's own natal Flying Star chart, its facing, and which rooms occupy which sectors. A South-facing front door makes 2026 a very different proposition from a South-facing storage closet. Personal remedies require a chart of your home.
